Eric Tearle

Eric was a kind and generous soul, who was always there to loyally support his family and friends.

Whilst his time in the army, as part of the Royal Armoured Corps regiment at the end of WW2 was brief, it had an enormous impact on his life. The friendships he made and the values he adopted during that time were enduring.

He took great pride in marching with ex servicemen and women on Remembrance Day. One year he even marched on ANZAC Day in Sydney. He also raised money for the British legion for many years by selling poppies - something he was very proud to do.

Eric was always very conscious of the sacrifice and contribution that the men and women in the armed services have made and continue to make to protect the country that he loved so much.

Help for Heroes supports regular and reserve personnel and veterans who have suffered injuries or illness during or as a result of service which impacts on their daily life. The charity also helps their close family and dependents. Eric would be delighted if you would make a donation to this great charity which does so much good.

Thanking you, in memory of Eric.
