Year-on-year we sadly lose those individuals who proudly served in the Second World War, and the significant peace-keeping years after.
With each that pass, their stories of active service (whether unique experiences, life lessons, places visited, or camaraderie shared), begin to fade with them. In remembrance of my father, and his proud years of service in the Royal Navy, we as a family, wanted to celebrate his life with something memorable - and what better, than fund raising for Help for Heroes.
I know Dad would have been delighted and proud that we’re doing this – and that the kind donations of friends and family can go towards helping other veterans, servicemen and their families.
